Sip & Savour: Boann Distillery meets Boho Nibz

Join the team from Boann distillery in a guided tasting of the award winning Boann Single Pot Still ‘New Born’ New Make Spirit and Boann Single Pot Still Irish Whiskeys; Marsala, Madeira and P.X. . Discover the complexity and diversity of this unique style of triple distilled Irish whiskey by delving into the diverse flavours profiles of each expression.

Each whiskey sample will be paired with a specially curated sweet treat, created by local artisan chocolate make , BohoNibz .

A bit about Boann Distillery

Boann Distillery is a family owned state-of-the-art distillery, producing a range of triple distilled Irish single malt and Irish pot still whiskey, from three handmade bespoke copper pot stills. The handmade traditional copper pot stills have patented inbuilt nanotechnology, that exposes the spirit to 6 times more copper surface during the distillation process, than in a purely traditional still .

By combining both tradition and technology, Boann Distillery will produce the purest spirit of great character that will uniquely reflect its sense of place — a unique and contemporary spirit with a unique provenance.
Using their own well water, drawn from below the Boyne Valley, and local Irish barley, they mill, mash and distill on site. Their distinctive pot stills have been specially designed to maximise both traditional methods and also the use of modern techniques, in the form of special reflux cooling jackets and patented nanocopper technology.Boann Distillery also produce their own Gin! Silks Gin is distilled by hand in small batches in their 500 litre custom copper pot still. Their signature botanicals are hand foraged from their family apple orchards; apple blossom from the trees, honey from their bees and elderflower and hawthorn blossom from their hedgerows. Their 14 distinct botanicals are macerated for 24 hours before slow distilling with vapour infusion. Each distillation is non-chill filtered and cut back with their own deep well water before bottling.On the Summer Solstice 2024, Boann Distillery launched their first core range of Boann Single Pot Still Irish Whiskeys; Marsala, Madeira and P.X. which are now available to purchase at boanndistillery.ie or from the distillery.

A bit about Boho Nibz

Bohó Nibz chocolate is where tropical flair meets the Mediterranean inspiration in the heart of Ireland.​

Born from Karens fusion of her Colombian roots and the influence of Spanish culinary traditions, Bohó Nibz is more than just a brand-it is an expression of culture, creativity, and connection.
Karen Bohórquez , is originally from the exotic and beautiful country of Colombia, where their love for chocolate, coffee and fruits is unconditional.

As a young teenager, her family relocated to Barcelona, Spain, where she had the opportunity to train professionally as a pastry chef at the prestigious Hofmann culinary school. It was there that she honed my skills and deepened my love for the art of chocolate making.
Karens passion is artisan chocolate making and her flavours are inspired by my grandmother and the tastes of my childhood. Karens mission is to share a bit of her story in each bite with her adopted home, Ireland.
Each chocolate is handmade and hand-painted in small batches in Navan, County Meath.
