Samhain Symposium 2024
This year’s Samhain Symposium aims to showcase the goals of The Centre of Food Culture by calling all who are involved in regional food and drink networks across the island of Ireland to come to Kells to discuss common values, goals and ambitions in establishing Ireland as a true food destination.
The afternoon will be chaired by John Mc Kenna of the McKenna Guides and will feature individual contributors and panel discussions around the topics of collaboration and ambition. The session will involve an inspirational key note speaker, followed by two panel discussions.
The first will be a panel titled “From the Ground Up – Learning from Ireland’s Food and Drink Networks” made up of representatives from the food networks to discuss projects that have worked well, challenges they have faced and upcoming opportunities.
The second panel will be centred around the theme of “Making Partnerships work to Support Sustainable Networks”.
The Symposium will be followed with some light bites from Killua Castle Food Truck and an opportunity to network.
