Education is the main purpose of The Centre of Food Culture, Boyne Valley.

Our objective is to share knowledge and skills through immersive learning and educational experiences.

To allow access to knowledge and skills through lifelong learning about food culture for current and future generations and access to critical thinkers and practitioners vital to the development of our food industry.
Our educational initiatives will be developed along themes such as sustainability, food culture, regeneration, history and sociology, craftsmanship and heritage.
We will partner with domestic and international established networks and academic institutions to facilitate accreditation, access research programmes and create an international education focus.
We will train best in class craft producers to become qualified educators to facilitate knowledge transfer.
We will provide fundamental culinary skills education to consumers.

A series of immersive events that allow a master of their craft to explain the history and traditions of their craft. These events will explain and showcase the many diverse food crafts that can be found across Ireland ensuring the expert knowledge is shared and recorded.

Farm Walks Series

Join us as we visit farms across Ireland to understand the sustainability, food culture, regeneration, history and sociology, craftsmanship and heritage associated with Irish farms.

International Internship Programme

We connect international students with internship opportunities with food and drinks producers in Ireland, to facilitate immersive learning of Irish food and drink culture. Interns learn about Irish food and drink production, craftsmanship, heritage and agriculture, and bring this learning with them through their careers in the international food industry.
